French President Emmanuel Macron showcased his athletic prowess once again in preparation for the Paris Olympics by scoring a penalty in a charity soccer match on Wednesday.

Playing alongside a blend of former international players and healthcare professionals, Macron confidently directed his shot low into the bottom corner while the goalkeeper stayed rooted to the line.

Among the 46-year-old’s teammates were Eden Hazard and Didier Drogba, along with France coach Didier Deschamps.

The team secured a 5-3 win against a side that included former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and Samuel Eto’o.

The match, hosted in Paris, aimed to generate funds to support children in hospitals.

“Two teams, one mission: to enhance the well-being of hospitalized children and adolescents,” Macron expressed in a post on social media platform X.

Macron, who previously scored a penalty in a charity match in 2021, has been progressively engaging in sports activities leading up to the Paris Olympics.

Last month, he was photographed training with a punching bag and has pledged to swim in the Seine River before the Games commence.
