Armenia’s Interior Ministry reported an attempted attack on a police station in Yerevan’s Nor-Nork district on Sunday by three armed men.
Preliminary information suggests that two of the assailants were wounded due to the detonation of hand grenades they were carrying.
The third individual remains outside the police station with a grenade, according to reports.
According to Russia’s state TASS news agency, the head of the Armenian police force was present at the scene, engaging in negotiations with the individual.
Earlier on Sunday, the Interfax news agency, citing local media, reported that the gunmen were possibly affiliated with the Combat Brotherhood organisation, approximately 50 members of which had been apprehended earlier in the day.
However, the organisation refuted these claims, stating it had no connection to the incident, as reported by Sputnik Armenia.
