Gabon international, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has vowed to prove a point as he returned to English Premier League.

The former Dortmund striker, 33, on Thursday night penned a two-year deal at Stamford Bridge with the option for a third season.

Speaking after signing the deal, Auba said he has “unfinished business” to resolve in the Premier League.

Aubameyang has insisted that he wants to hit the ground running in his message to fans upon returning to London.

“I’m really happy,” he said. “It’s an honour to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start as I want to prove a point.

“I have some unfinished business with the Premier League so it’s good to be back and really exciting.”

Aubameyang’s “unfinished business” comment seems like a nod to his struggles at the back end of his Arsenal career.

The 33-year-old had continued disciplinary issues with Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, who eventually stripped him of the captaincy.

But that was not the end of his time in the limelight. Indeed, Arsenal then terminated his contract and sent him to Barcelona.

Chelsea majority owner Todd Boehly added that “elite striker” Aubameyang has a “proven track record” in the English top flight.

The American said: “We are thrilled to have Pierre-Emerick on board with us in the new era at Chelsea and we’re really looking forward to working with him
