Manchester United new manager, Erik ten Hag has disclosed a readiness to build a formidable team that will compete for every title come next season.
Speaking in his first interview as Red Devil boss, Ten Hag said he has a plan to rebuild Manchester United and believes he can halt Liverpool and Man City’s dominance in the English Premier League.
Ten Hag, who has added Mitchell van der Gaag and Steve McClaren to his backroom staff after officially taking over from interim boss Ralf Rangnick, conceded it would be a ‘big challenge’ to turn around the club’s fortunes.
According to him “I’m thinking that this is a project and it takes time. We want to win every game. We go from game to game and then we’ll see.
The confidence is that I have a good feeling with the people around, I have a good feeling from the meetings. We have a plan and now it’s about getting the plan done.”
There’s potential and now it’s up to us to get that out. It’s a process, it will take time but I’m convinced we will come to that point where we get success. We have to work hard and it has to be based on the right philosophy and strategy.
“I really look forward to doing this job, at this club with a massive history, and we want to restore it where it belongs.
“We want to make the fans proud,” he said. “Second, of course, we are in this moment, the current situation is obviously not that good but things will work out come next season.”
