Gbajabiamila vacates Rep seat after 20 years in Green Chamber

The immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila, on Wednesday resigned his membership of the newly inaugurated 10th House of Representatives.

Gbajabiamila tendered his resignation letter on Wednesday on the floor of the House before the newly elected Speaker, Honourable Tajudeen Abbas and the members of the House.

After 20 years in the Green chamber, Gbajabiamila representing Surulere 1 Federal Constituency of Lagos State resigned as a member of the House of Representatives to assume office as Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu.

Meanwhile, his seat has been declared vacant as the party, All Progressives Congress (APC) will be waiting for by-election.
