WAFCON: Super Falcons return to winning ways, beat Botswana 2-0

The Super Falcons of Nigeria returned to winning ways after beating Botswana 2-0 in their second match of the ongoing Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2022 in Morocco.

Falcons who suffered a 2-1 defeat in the hands of South Africa in the opening match of group C bounced back with an important point.

Ifeoma Onumonu opened the scoring in the 21st minute of the match before Christy Ucheibe doubled the lead in the 48th minute to give her side a comfortable victory.

The Nigerians play without their star player, Asisat Oshoala who was injured against Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
