Scottie Scheffler, the top-ranked golfer, showcased his prowess in a back-nine showdown to clinch his second Masters title, securing a commanding four-stroke victory at Augusta National.

This victory marks Scheffler’s second triumph at the prestigious event, following his previous win in 2022.

The accomplished golfer claimed the record-breaking $3.6 million top prize after a thrilling battle on Sunday with fellow Americans Collin Morikawa and Max Homa, along with Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg, who made a notable debut in major tournaments.

“I can’t express in words what winning this tournament again means to me,” Scheffler remarked.

He concluded the final round with three birdies in the last six holes, carding a four-under-par 68 and completing 72 holes over the iconic 7,555-yard layout at 11-under 277.

Aberg finished second on 281 after shooting a 69. Two-time major champion Morikawa finished third on 284, along with Homa and England’s Tommy Fleetwood, all posting closing rounds of 74.

“I made a conscious effort to maintain composure on the course. I focused on remaining patient,” Scheffler explained.

“I managed to execute some crucial shots and putts to sustain my momentum throughout the round.”

Scheffler joined Tiger Woods as the second player to win the Masters twice while holding the top spot in the world rankings.

At 27 years old, he also became the fourth-youngest golfer to achieve multiple Masters victories, following in the footsteps of Woods, Jack Nicklaus, and the late Seve Ballesteros.

“Homa praised Scottie’s skills on the golf course, describing him as an amazing golfer,” Scheffler, who has maintained an impressive streak of not playing a round over par since last August, achieved the

remarkable feat of winning his second Masters title with just five starts, making him one of the fewest Masters starts for any player with two victories.
