An Indonesian man recently experienced a startling revelation when he discovered that his spouse of twelve days was actually a man disguised as a woman.
As per the South China Morning Post, the 26-year-old husband, known by the alias AK, only learned the truth about his wife, Adinda Kanza, almost two weeks after their wedding.
AK had met Adinda, purportedly a woman, on a social media platform in 2023. Their online connection led to an in-person meeting, where Adinda consistently wore traditional Muslim attire covering her face.
Initially, AK didn’t find this suspicious, interpreting it as a sign of her devoutness to Islam. Their relationship deepened, and they decided to marry. Adinda claimed to have no family, so they had a simple ceremony at AK’s home on April 12.
However, after the wedding, Adinda’s behavior became increasingly suspicious. She continued to conceal her face and avoided interacting with AK’s family and friends. She also avoided intimacy, citing various reasons.
After twelve days of mounting doubts, AK decided to investigate. He discovered that Adinda’s parents were alive and unaware of their relationship. Shockingly, he found out that Adinda was actually ESH, a man who had been cross-dressing since 2020.
During police questioning, ESH confessed that he married AK to swindle his family’s assets. His convincingly high-pitched voice had masked his true identity well.
The revelation shook the internet, with many expressing sympathy for AK’s ordeal of being deceived in a relationship and losing both marriage and money.
