In southern Germany, heavy rainfall has triggered catastrophic flooding, leading to the evacuation of more than 600 individuals from their residences, as reported by local media.

Persistent rain over multiple days has caused water levels to surge in several rivers across Germany, such as the Donau, Neckar, and Guenz, resulting in extensive flooding in coastal communities.

Many areas are witnessing water levels unprecedented in a century.

Southern Germany, particularly the states of Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg, is grappling with severe flooding.

As of 2 a.m. local time (0000 GMT) on Sunday, 10 districts in Bavaria have declared a state of emergency.

Over 670 residents of the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district have been evacuated, according to local authorities.

The German Weather Service has issued the highest level of severe weather warnings for several districts in the region.

Additionally, in the city of Meckenbeuren in Baden-Wuerttemberg, approximately 1,300 people were asked to leave their homes due to the looming threat of flooding.
