The Russian army has embarked on an anti-spy operation against the Ukrainian army. Reports have it that one person has been killed in the operation which commenced on Friday morning.
Russia in an update released earlier today stated that it has killed a man suspected to be a spy working with the Ukrainian army and also shut down two pro-Kyiv online outlets in Ukraine’s southern Zaporizhzhia region.
This comes a year after Russia seized a larger part of Ukraine and subsequently retreated attempts of sabotage from Ukraine locals.

This was revealed by the FSB security service in a statement released on Friday.
“As a result of a special operation in the territory of Zaporizhzhia region, the FSB suppressed the activities of three large agent groups coordinated by Ukrainian intelligence.
“One man suspected to be working for Ukrainian intelligence was killed in a gunfight during the operation, the FSB said, without providing further details.
“The administrators of a pro-Ukrainian chat room and a media outlet in the Russian-controlled city of Melitopol were detained,” the statement read.
