Chelsea

Defending champions, Real Madrid will host Chelsea FC in the first leg of the quarterfinals stage on this year’s UEFA Champions League.

On Friday, the quarter-final and semi-final draws for the Champions League were held, revealing the opponents for the remaining top teams in the competition.

Real Madrid, who defeated Liverpool, remains the team to beat, but Manchester City, Napoli, and Bayern Munich are among the clubs with aspirations of lifting the trophy in Turkey.

Chelsea, who beat Borussia Dortmund, will face Real Madrid in a repeat of last year’s quarterfinal.

Inter, currently behind Napoli in the Serie A title race, will face off against Portuguese team Benfica. Manchester City will play Bayern Munich for a place in the final four, while AC Milan and Napoli will face each other in an all-Italian match.

The semi-final pairings were also revealed, with Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich all on one side of the draw, meaning one of Inter, Benfica, Milan, or Napoli will advance to the final.
