Italian journalist, Ciro Venerato, has revealed that French giants, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen has been one of the best players in Italy in the last 18 months.
The Super Eagles striker ended last season with 18 goals and six assists in all competitions.
This season, the former Lille FC striker has surpassed his personal best and sits on 21 goals and four assists in 25 appearances in all competitions.
Osimhen’s displays have attracted interests from Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Newcastle, and Arsenal.
Also, Italian transfer market expert, Venerato, per Napoli Magazine has revealed that PSG are interested in signing the Nigeria international.
The Parisians have a lot of quality in the final third, but they lack adequate backup. As such, Osimhen, who has scored 19 goals in 20 Serie A league games this season becomes an enticing option.
However, Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, may only let Osimhen go if he gets a very good offer.
Nonetheless, Osimhen still has two years left on his contract and there have been no concrete extension talks yet.
Napoli may hold out for over €120million.
Meanwhile, Super Falcons forward, Asisat Oshoala, has compared Osimhen, to Spanish legend, Rafael Moreno Aranzadi, popularly known as “Pichichi.”
Osimhen recently made headlines for his goal-scoring spree, which has been crucial in Napoli’s battle for the Scudetto.
Four-time CAF Women Footballer of the Year winner, Oshoala, compared this feat to Pichichi, an Atlético Bilbao legend, who played as a striker and scored 83 goals in 89 games for his one and only club.
