The decision was followed after a recommendation of a seven-man panel set up by the state Chief Judge, Munta Abimbola to investigate Rauf Olaniyan on allegations of gross misconduct. The impeachment takes immediate effect.
The report of the committee presented during Monday’s plenary corroborated that the Deputy Governor was found guilty of all the allegations levelled against him by the seven-man panel.
