Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Republic of Tunisia have strengthened their air services cooperation with a newly revised agreement, updating the original accord from 1985.
This agreement now allows for unlimited direct flights between Oman and Tunisia, aiming to improve operational and technical collaboration for the mutual benefit of both nations.
Comprising 23 articles and a special annex detailing air route schedules, economic provisions, and regulations for operational cooperation, it empowers designated airlines to operate passenger and cargo flights between both countries’ airports and facilitates code-sharing arrangements.
Oman currently maintains bilateral air transport agreements with 124 countries, which regulate air transport services and promote civil aviation relations.
With a commitment to enhancing global air transport cooperation, the CAA aims to increase airline operations to and from Omani airports, thereby boosting trade, tourism, and economic and social activities.
Eng Nayef bin Ali al Abri, Chairman of the CAA, signed the agreement during a ceremony attended by officials from the civil aviation authorities of both countries.
