Argentine Captain, Lionel Messi opened his Inter Miami goal account on his debut in MLS match player on Friday night.

On the final play of the game, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner stepped up to the ball 25 yards out and found the top corner with his famed left foot to give Miami a 2-1 win over Mexican side Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.
“What I saw was the goal,” Messi said in an on-field interview amid the postgame celebration. “I saw the goal. I knew that I had to score.“
