Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, has on Friday 20th October revealed that she has separated from her partner Andrea Giambruno.
Meloni and Andrea’s separation is as a result of the latter’s sexist comments he made on television.
During a media program this week, Giambruno was spotted using foul language, touching his private part and making advances towards a female colleague.
“Why didn’t I meet you before?”, Giambruno asked her.
Also in another audio recording aired on Thursday, Giambruno was heard making an offer to female colleagues stating that they can work with him if they take part in group s3x.
Meloni announced separation from Andrea Giambruno who is a ‘Television Journalist’ over his remarks on tv.

Reacting to this, Meloni while speaking with reporters stated that citizens should not judge her by Giambruno’s comments and added she will not be answerable for his behavior in the future.
Meloni who is 46 years old is about to celebrate her first year in office as Italy’s Prime Minister made the announcement that she had separated from her partner of almost 10 years.
Whilst she did not give a specific reason for the split, it came after Giambruno was exposed for making s3xist and lewd comments to his female colleagues on and off air.
Giambruno had also been criticized in August for appearing to blame the victim of a gang rape case. Meloni had defended him at the time, saying that she should not be judged for his remarks and that she would not answer questions about his behaviour.
However, after the latest scandal, she decided to end the relationship and thanked him for the “wonderful years” they spent together and for their 7-year-old daughter.
She also said that she would not let anyone weaken her by attacking her family. Meloni is known for her conservative views on family values and opposes same-sex parenting. She received support from her allies, such as Matteo Salvini.
She wrote, “My relationship with Andrea Giambruno, which lasted almost 10 years, ends here, Our paths have diverged for some time, and the time has come to acknowledge it”.
Meloni and Giambruno’s relationship started in 2014 after they met in a TV studio.
