The Osolo of Isolo in Lagos State, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka has passed away after observing Eid-el-Fitr prayers.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by the Chairman of the Isolo Local Council Development Area, Olasoju Adebayo.
According to the statement, the King will be buried by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday in accordance with Islamic rites.
The statement reads: “I have the instruction of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to formally announce the passing of the paramount ruler of Isolo Kingdom, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka, Adeola Olushi III, today April 10, 2024. He was 64.
“He will be buried today by 4 p.m. at his palace, 3/5 Akinbaye Street, Isolo, according to Islamic rites. May his soul rest in peace.”
Olasoju, however, did not disclose the cause of his death.
He spent almost 20 years on the throne after being installed as the Osolo of Isolo Kingdom on on July 11, 2004.
