Israel has launched air raids on outposts in Syria’s Homs province, leaving at least five soldiers wounded.

A statement issued by Syrian Defence Ministry read: “Israel launched an aerial aggression from the direction of the northwest Beirut targeting some outposts in Homs city and its countryside.”

“Syrian air defences intercepted the missiles and shot down some of them.”

A Syrian military source reportedly said the attacks caused some material damage with five military personnel injured.

According to media reports, Israel for some years, has allegedly carried out attacks against Syria for what it described as an alleged Iran-linked targets in Syria.

Last year, Israel attacked Syria airport and air bases in order to disrupt what it claimed was Iranian alleged use of aerial supply lines to deliver arms to militias.
