I want to make history with PSG -Mbappe

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward, Kylian Mbappe has said he snubbed Laliga champions, Real Madrid offer to remain with PSG.

Speaking on Monday on his decision to stay with Mauricio Pochettino side, Mbappe said he believes he still has more to offer.

Mbappe on Friday put pen to paper on an eye-watering new deal which should see him earn 50 million net euros in each of the next three years, as well as a 100m euro signing-on fee to make him the world’s highest-paid footballer.

Mbappe “Leaving my country isn’t the right thing,” Mbappe said.

“There is a sentimental aspect to this. It is my country.

“The ongoing project has changed as well. That has made me want to stay here because I don’t think my story is over yet.

“That goes for me collectively and individually. I think there are many more wonderful chapters to write.”

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old’s mother, Fayza Lamari, said that the offers proposed by Real Madrid and PSG were similar in economic terms.

Real Madrid offered him 30m euros annually for five years, which was the same as the total amount he’d earn at PSG with the rate of 50m net euros for three years.

However, his signing-on fee for Los Blancos would have been 130m euros – which is higher than that offered by PSG – as well as the guarantee of all of his image rights.
