The remains of the former chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Pa Samson Olayiwola Lakondoro, who died at 111 years were interred on Thursday at his residence, Ajadi Area, Ologuneru, Ibadan.
Lakondoro, whose date of birth [1912] was tattooed in his stomach according to a reliable source, will be recalled was appointed chairman of the Oluyole Warriors in July 2014.
Chairman of 3SC, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan, who led other officials to the burial described the death of the soccer aficionado as a huge loss, not only to the club but the football fraternity.
“We’ve lost a passionate lover of Shooting Stars and the round leather game as a whole. He was such a die hard fan of the club, even at his old age.

“As the chairman of 3SC, he contributed immensely to the success of the club and even after leaving office, he dedicated his time to supporting the club.
“We take solace in the fact that Baba lived a fulfilled life and enjoyed the labour of his hands till he died at a ripe age. We pray God grant him eternal rest,” Olaniyan said.
