Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter crashed Monday morning in Tami village of Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State.
Locals reported that the incident occurred around 5 a.m., following a loud sound from the crash site, prompting them to rush to the scene where they witnessed the pilot emerging from the wreckage.
“Military officers from the Nigerian Air Force swiftly responded to the scene, securing the area and commencing an initial investigation,” a local source stated.
“They cordoned off the crash site to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the safety of villagers.
“Preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash, which remains unknown, were also initiated.”
As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Air Force has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
