US singer, Ariana Grande, will settle her ex-husband Dalton Gomez with $1.25m as they finalised divorce after nearly three years of marriage.

The divorce was finalized during a ruling in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday.

Ariana Grande filed for divorce six months prior, citing irreconcilable differences.

The couple commenced their relationship in January 2020, just before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. They were first seen together in February 2020, sharing a kiss at a restaurant in Los Angeles, and subsequently spent quarantine together.

In December 2020, Grande announced their engagement via an Instagram post with the caption “Forever n then some.” They tied the knot in May 2021 in an intimate ceremony at Grande’s residence in Montecito, California.

As part of their settlement, Grande will make a one-time payment of $1.25 million (£980,000) to Mr. Gomez, with no further alimony payments in the future. However, she will contribute up to $25,000 towards his legal expenses.

Additionally, Mr. Gomez will receive half the proceeds from the sale of their Los Angeles home.

Court documents indicate that the couple had a prenuptial agreement in place when they separated over a year ago. The divorce process was expedited due to the absence of children and any legal disputes between the parties.
