The Grammy award-winning singer showed the benevolent act in Surulere, where he spent his formative years and the Mokoko neighbourhood of Lagos state.
Wizkid had earlier on Monday, December 11, 2023, revealed that the donation is dedicated to the memory of his late mother, who was laid to rest in a grand ceremony a few weeks ago.
“₦100M for the kids for Christmas! God bless us all, starts in Surulere tonight (yesterday). All in Morayo’s name, the love of my life,” his post read.
The artist, currently on a music hiatus, said he remains focused on making a positive impact beyond the realm of entertainment.
Wizkid’s decision to extend his generosity to children echoes his desire to create lasting memories for the younger generation during the holiday season.
