Former Central Bank of Nigeria deputy governor and 2019 gubernatorial candidate has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) party along with his supporters across the 33 local governments in Oyo State.
Adelabu disclosed this in Ibadan on Sunday the 29th of May saying APC has been hijacked in the state.
Adelabu said that they are already in consultation with some political parties which would be unveiled as soon as possible.
He vowed that no amount of intimidation, threat or harassment can stop him from his passionate ambition of revolutionising the political, social and economic landscape of Oyo State.
According to him, all I can tell the whole world for now is that I am going to contest in the 2023 general elections as a governorship candidate, no matter what.
“No amount of intimidation, threat or harassment can stop me from my passionate ambition of revolutionizing the political, social, and economic landscape of Oyo State through the machinery of government.
“Since my followers have asked me to leave APC, we have left the APC. We will sit down with our leaders to decide on the political party to go. We will come back to APC after winning the gubernatorial election because we are progressives.
“It worked during the time of late Abiola Ajimobi, he left AC and went to ANPP and later came back to ACN. Just give us 48 hours to get back to you to announce the next political party to join”.
