The Independent National Electoral Commission has stated that AAC and the NNPP are yet to upload information about their candidates in the nomination portal.
Festus Okoye, the head of election security for Nigeria, said that all political parties that conduct valid primaries are expected to upload their candidates’ details via their nomination portal from July 1 to July 15.
So far, 16 out of 18 party forms have submitted 6995 nomination papers.

Although many other political parties have been nominated, the African Action Congress and New Nigeria Peoples Party parties are yet to upload any nominations.
The commission reminds all political parties of the deadline of Friday, July 15th at 6.00 pm, to upload their list of candidates at ICNP’s portal.
One million six hundred and sixty-two thousand, nine hundred and eighty-seven (1,662,987) page requests were processed by the Commission.
Despite the Commission’s efforts, 147 out of 476 requests that it has processed still need to be claimed by applicants. The Commission is asking prospective litigants to come forward and claim these documents.
