The Academic Staff Union of Universities on Monday commenced an indefinite strike action over government’s failure to pay their monthly wages through the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.
The announcement was made at a briefing with journalists at the National Secretariat of the union in Abuja by the President, Biodun Ogunyemi.
The academic union had on March 9, 2020 declared a two-week warning strike over the issue.
