Emirates Airlines has confirmed the resumption of its daily operations in Nigeria from October 1, 2024, providing enhanced connectivity for Nigerian travelers.

The airline will operate a daily service between Lagos and Dubai, utilizing a Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Flights will depart Dubai at 09:45, arriving in Lagos at 15:20, with return flights departing Lagos at 17:30 and arriving in Dubai at 05:10 the following day.

Tickets are available for booking on the Emirates website and through travel agents.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airlines, expressed enthusiasm for reconnecting leisure and business travelers to Dubai and the airline’s extensive global network.

“We thank the Nigerian government for their partnership and support in re-establishing this route and we look forward to welcoming passengers back onboard.”

The airline also highlighted its extensive connectivity across Africa, operating to 19 gateways with 157 weekly flights from Dubai.

Through partnerships with airlines like South African Airways, Airlink, Royal Air Maroc, and Tunis Air, Emirates offers access to an additional 130 regional points in Africa.

With Nigeria being a significant economic hub and Lagos serving as its commercial center, the UAE-Nigeria bilateral trade relations are robust.

The resumption of daily passenger flights will not only strengthen these ties but also enhance trade opportunities.

Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s cargo arm, will contribute to this by providing over 300 tonnes of belly-hold cargo capacity to and from Lagos each week.

The airline emphasized that its cargo arm would play a crucial role in importing essential goods such as pharmaceuticals, electronics, and general cargo from key markets like the UAE, India, and Hong Kong. This commitment ensures the smooth and efficient flow of trade, facilitating the quick transportation of these goods.

Additionally, Emirates provided details about the aircraft serving Lagos, stating that the Boeing 777-300ER would feature eight First Class suites, 42 Business Class seats, and 304 seats in Economy Class.

Customers will have access to a vast entertainment selection, with over 6,500 channels available, including 23 Nigerian movies, among other options.
