There was an attack on a Police facility in Katsina State, the suspected terrorists led by a wanted leader, Ado Aleiro killed five police officers and four other persons.
Investigation revealed that the bandits stormed a police checkpoint in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State where they carried out the dastardly act.
Aleiro was turbaned as the Sarkin Fulani of Yandoto in Zamfara State last week Saturday.
A source said they saw the bandits on over 200 motorcycles that they used to invade the scene and shot sporadically immediately they got there.
“Five policemen and four civilians were killed as a result of of the fierce battle,” he added
Meanwhile, the police spokesman of the command, SP Gambo Isah, confirmed the killings of the policemen by the armed bandits.
He also said that the five policemen were on special duty from Kano to the state.
