The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday released the list and particulars of candidates vying for several positions at the federal level in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The names of Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi and Niger Delta Minister, Godswill Akpabio were missing from the list.
Recall that these three contested the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that took place on June 7th, 2022 and presented Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party standard-bearer after winning with 1,271 votes.
Meanwhile, the winners of their respective senatorial districts have been put up by INEC despite pressure that their names be used to replace the authentic winners.
