Former Liverpool midfielder, Mohamed Sissoko, believes Juventus should make a move for Victor Osimhen in the summer transfer window.
The Bianconeri could be in the market for a top striker this summer after informing Alvaro Morata that they will not make his loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent.
In Juventus’ search for a strike partner for Dušan Vlahovic, Sissoko has recommended Osimhen to the Serie A giants, saying the Napoli star fits the bill.
Napoli’s asking price for the Nigerian is believed to be in excess of 100 million euros, which could be the stumbling block to a potential deal, considering that Juve is not willing to pay 35 million euros for Morata despite the Spaniard having a good season.
When asked who he would take as Vlahovic’s strike partner if Morata were to leave, Sissoko, a former Juventus and PSG player told ilBiancoNero: “Victor Osimhen without a doubt.
“He is the right player for Juve, there are other young and strong players but Osimhen is devastating.
“I hope that Juve will have a strong player and be a champion. “Osimhen was named the best U23 player in the Serie A in the recently concluded season on the back of his spectacular goalscoring form for Napoli.
Meanwhile, Napoli has revealed that they will stop listening to bids for Osimhen from July 8. Osimhen is one of the most sought-after assets in Europe at the moment, following his brilliant returns of 18 goals and six assists in 32 games for the Partenopeans. Napoli’s valuation of €100 million has been a significant setback for any potential deal.
