The management of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) has denied unveiling any players ahead of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
This was contained in a statement signed by the media officer of the club, Tosin Omojola and made available to newsmen on Sunday.
The statement read in part: “Our attention has been drawn to a particular picture being circulated on the social media indicating the unveiling of a player by the club.
“We are using this medium, to inform you that Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, have not officially unveil any player ahead of the 2023/24 season.
“To put the record straight, we are presently negotiating with the players we hope to recruit after meeting up the standard of the technical crew.
“Be informed that some of the pictures being published were not taken during unveiling but during negotiations, and were not even released officially by the club.
“The unveiling of all the players we are signing this season will soon be done in a more acceptable way, just like we have been doing it in the past,” the statement read.
