Ahead of the forthcoming governorship election scheduled to hold on July 16, 2022, the candidate of the Labour Party in Osun State, Hon. Lasun Yusuf said he narrowly escaped death on Monday after gunmen attacked his
residence in his homeland.
The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives was attacked at Ilobu at about 2.00 am.
Raising the alarm on his verified Twitter handle, Yussuff said the gunmen were shooting sporadically in his compound.
The LP governorship candidate wrote: “Just in: Gunmen in uniforms are presently in my residence shooting sporadically…”
