Two other suspects fled the scene after abandoning their motorcycle along Gitanga Road, making their escape towards Kawangware.
Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei disclosed that authorities recovered a pistol with six bullets and two knives from the slain suspects, in addition to the motorcycle employed in their mission.
The suspects were identified by vigilant supermarket attendants who noticed them carrying concealed weapons as they prepared to close the store for the day.
The attendants promptly alerted the police, triggering a brief chase that resulted in the fatal confrontation.
Police are currently conducting a search for the escaped suspects, while the bodies of the deceased have been transferred to the mortuary awaiting identification and autopsy.
Bungei emphasized that they have intensified operations in the city to address the increasing incidents of armed robberies.
