Lionel Messi to join Al-Hilal after PSG exit

Lionel Messi, one of the greatest soccer players ever, is leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of the season and is set to join the Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for a record-breaking contract.

Messi joined PSG in 2021 from Barcelona, his lifelong club, but was unhappy with the team’s performance and was suspended for two weeks for traveling to Saudi Arabia without permission.

Al-Hilal have offered Messi a $534 million-per-year deal, which would make him the highest-paid player in history and surpass Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr, another Saudi club. Messi has not confirmed his move yet, but sources say he is ready for a new challenge.

Messi’s departure from PSG will leave a huge gap in the team’s attack, while his arrival at Al-Hilal will boost the club’s profile and fan base.
