King Charles III and his Queen Consort, Camilia, will be formerly crowned on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
The coronation will be steeped in centuries of tradition, with a few small tweaks expected for the modern age, the CBS news reports.
The ceremony is being planned by Buckingham Palace, and the date for the coronation was agreed upon by the U.K government, the Church of England and the royal household.
According to report, to celebrate, people in the U.K would be given a public holiday.
The coronation will be held on Saturday, while the National holiday will be observed on Monday, May 8.
