Ahead of the 2023 general elections, General Evangelist, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji has advised the Federal Government to establish voter education agency so as to educate the electorate before Election Day.
Oladeji said this on Thursday in Abuja just as he disclosed that with the agency, Nigeria will conduct and achieve peaceful elections.
According to him, with voter education, Nigerians would not “commercialise their votes during the 2023 General Elections and also would avoid mortgaging their future.
Oladeji said that Nigerians must look inward before voting for any candidate of their choice in the 2023 presidential elections.
The cleric said “Don’t allow politicians to use your life as sacrifice for the coming elections. Don’t sell your tomorrow for the coming elections because of money.
“Don’t allow anything whatsoever to mortgage your future. Don’t allow any candidate to buy you because the future you are looking at is very close to you,” he advised.
“My advice for all Christians, our forefathers prayed and God answered them.”
Oladeji called for prayers to achieve a better and peaceful Nigeria.
“So, let’s pray in our closets. If only we know this God, and He will answer us.
“Those of us who will vote, don’t do anything contrary to the will of God because you want to vote your choice.
“A lot of people want to revenge evil during elections by burning houses, and killing people.
“If you didn’t get it right in politics, go back to what you have been doing.
“To correct the mistakes, the government should establish an agency that will teach the electorate voter education,” he said.
